We are evaluating nutritional quality, physical, chemical and functional characteristics of maize hybrids. Specifically, we are:

  1. Determining the variance and range of grain nutritional characteristics in maize produced under different environmental and management conditions.
  2. Identifying the most influential factors on grain quality ((i.e., production practices, hybrid, weather).
  3. Identify the factors (i.e., production practices, hybrid, processing methods) that influence sensory characteristics in maize-based products.
